Downtime Boat Charters is owned and operated by a local first responder family who gained their boating experience on emergency response boats. Our Captains are trained to operate boats in any condition or situation. In addition, most are EMT's or Paramedics.

You can enjoy your Downtime knowing that you are in good hands on the water. The United States Coast Guard sets strict standards and regulations for small passenger vessels. Vessels undergo extensive testing, drills, and safety inspections in order to be able to carry more than 6 passengers. Downtime Boat Charters exceeds these standards in all aspects. Annual inspections with the USCG and regular maintenance ensures we are always ready for you to join us.

Experience Matters

Originally Built in 2002, Downtime was custom built for passenger use and safety. The wide beam and open floor plan provide tons of space for any event. A mechanical and interior refit in 2018 & 2023 has Downtime like new!

A heavy shallow water catamaran like Downtime provides an unmatched ride and stability in the water. The twin hulls carve through choppy seas and will not roll side to side like a standard single hull. The heavy aluminum hull takes on any foul weather or wakes with ease.

Features:

The Deckhands

Every charter will have at least one deckhand on board along with a Captain. Their primary job is to assist the Captain with safely maneuvering around the dock and be a second set of eyes on the water.

The Deckhand is also on board to assist our guests with anything they may need. Taking pictures, grabbing drinks from the cooler, or pointing out the head. The deckhand is the go to on board.

Our deckhands's all receive training on basic boat handling and may be working toward their Captain's license. Many are also local first responders with EMT training.

Our Deckhands might help recruit the little ones on board to take a turn at the wheel or throw a line!
